Playing against your friends in a private league is one of the most fun aspects of SuperCoach. You will automatically be entered into a league against players of similar skill level. Enter a league code if you have one or create your own league and send invites to your friends, or copy the code which they can use to join. You can create 10 or team leagues. You can join up to 10 different leagues plus groups with unlimited membership and set up rivalries against particular players — access all these features from the leagues screen.

Head-to-head matches in team private leagues start in Round 3 of the AFL season. All teams play each other once from Rounds In team leagues head-to-head matches start in Round 2. All teams play each other twice from Rounds Round 23 is SuperCoach grand final day. Any empty spots in a league will be auto-filled so you have a full league to compete against. Players who missed most of the year due to injury receive a discount. Note that if you nominate more than one emergency in any position and one player needs replacing, you receive the lower of the two emergency scores.

And a player has to miss to activate an emergency. So player scores can go backwards during a game and some have been known to finish a match with a negative score. Collingwood ruckman Brodie Grundy topped the SuperCoach scoresheet in with points over 22 rounds at an average of per match. Hawthorn midfielder Tom Mitchell who will miss this season with a knee injury and another ruckman, Max Gawn, made up the top three.
